Vince McMahon

- The Chicago Tribune has a new article up with Hulk Hogan. Here are a few highlights:

His WWE Hall of Fame ring (which incidently covers a "Linda" tattoo on his finger): "I think Vince McMahon paid $20 for it. My high school ring was better than this thing."

His Musical spirations: "I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jagger’s ex-wife, and she told me the [Rolling] Stones were looking for a bass player. I sent her a ton of merchandise that she asked for and said ‘Tell Mick I’m a great bass player.’ I never heard a word back."

Wrestling again: "People might say I'm too slow or crippled to get back in the ring. I can't say they're wrong. I heard Stone Cold [Steve Austin] say 'I'm not hanging around and embarrassing myself like some of these old guys.' I wonder who he's talking about, you know?"

Awesome !! The Mud-slinging and Straight up dissing has started. Makes for a nice wrestling promotion war but I don't think it will actually be an "WCW Vs WWF" ratings but it would be great if TNA could prove alot of their critic's, myself included, wrong on this one. I can only tune in once in awhle to both promotions but only for so long as it has gotten corny or maybe I am just out-grown professional wrestling altogether. :P

TNA have been having cheap shots at the WWE for years and the WWE have never dropped to their level and said something back and there's nothing to suggest that will change any time soon.

It's coming more and more obvious that Hogan is in TNA for himself and no else. He hasn't exactly promoted them like mad on chat shows and apparently he won't be at the tapings either this week which tells you where his priorities are. He's using TNA as a publicity stunt to get himself back out there to push his own tour and is using the chance to take a few cheap shots at the WWE and people associated with it. I pray I'm wrong but lets be honest does anyone think Hogan has gone to TNA to help the younger guys and put them first without stealing any spotlight if you think that then you've lost the plot. Hogan only cares about Hogan simple as.

There are so many things wrong with this post its not even funny. Obviously this guy is too obsessed of a Hulk Hogan fan and its blinding him from seeing reality. As big of a Hulk Hogan fan as you are, you should know the guy never puts anyone over but himself. HBK, Orton, and everyone who wasnt in NWO during WCW Hogan wanted to win over. The guy is in it for himself until I see otherwise. If you recall not too long ago, Foley said he was in TNA to help the young talent and would only wrestle a few matches a year. And what do they do, they put the title on him. Booker said he was here, "to make TNA the best damn wrestling company ever" but as most of us know he ended up getting in an argument with TNA management of him not being at the top and is as a result gone from the company. Yes Hulk will gather in ratings, its a given but 98% of us Im pretty sure dont want him on top of TNA holding the elt and running everyone down. Hogan is in his late 50's and if he isn't gonna help others they shouldnt even bring him in. But whatever, if you enjoy seeing old farts hogging everything for 20 years I guess you will watch anything.

HEY YOU BLINDED HULK HOGAN FAN!

You want evidence on why Hulk Hogan is in TNA just for himself?
Here's 2 examples: 1.How about the Larry King interview huh? He just barely mention TNA and 2 seconds later he was talking about another topic. He was spending a lot talking about himself than TNA. If that's not enough for you here's example #2. 2. He was on Howard Stern Show for a interview and what happen.... the same thing happen! He barely mention TNA again! He had 2 great opportunities to talk about TNA as a company, their superstars, their goals, etc, etc, etc. But what did he do? Spending 98% of those 2 interviews talking about himself. So what more proof do you want? Obviously not enough for you because you are a BLINDED HULK HOGAN and you don't care about TNA either by calling AJ Styles 'Nobody Cares' AJ Styles. Here's the real picture about Hulk Hogan in TNA. $$$$$$$ for Hogan, and TNA will stay as they are right now, starting from square zero again.

Foley as champ didn't draw at all, the ratings were still in the 1.1-1.2 range they had always been, nothing changed. Hogan can draw, no doubt but as I said, if TNA is just gonna have him sit on the throne all by his lonesome and nobody else is even recognized anymore, then TNA should have never signed him. Just because someone can draw, doesn't mean the show is gonna be necessarily good.

Why Dixie sign Hulk Hogan? Is so simple, A DESPERATION MOVE! TNA was fine without him and they just took 1,000,000 steps back.

IT's quite possibly the biggest shock the wrestling world has ever seen.

But just what does Hulk Hogan's jump to TNA mean for the company and its loyal fans — and should his former boss Vince McMahon panic just yet?

There's no denying the signing of wrestling legend Hogan and Eric Bischoff is a major coup for TNA president Dixie Carter.

But it does seem to be a backward step for the company as current storylines and booking concepts seemed to be pushing the younger roster members to the fore.

TNA were shifting attention to them, instead of the limelight-hogging Main Event Mafia members consisting of former WWE and WCW stars.

The Hulkster and business partner Bishoff are not only very shrewd operators in the wrestling world, they both had a hand in the success and downfall of the WCW.

Taking the company to a level where it almost put its bitter enemy WWE out of business, could Carter be hoping for that scenario to happen again?

As highlighted many times, ego, bad booking and spending obscene amounts of cash soon saw WCW lose money hand over fist until it eventually folded.

As a result, the McMahons bought the grappling group for next to nothing before wasting a long-awaited invasion angle.

The reason WCW went under can be traced back to a few individuals — and that's where TNA need to be wary.

Hogan's huge wages, entourage, hangers-on, final say in storylines and ego all helped bring WCW down.

But when you factor in his dodgy relationship with then head writer Vince Russo, things get messy.

Russo and Hogan regularly butted heads and that led to many bizarre situations both on and off screen.

The Hulkster even walked away from the company and sued them over Russo's booking decisions.

In my book, to have those two behind the scenes in TNA is trouble waiting to happen in my book.

But with Bischoff coming as part of the Hogan package, it all looks like TNA may wish for a short relationship with the pair in that camp, or to dump Mr Russo, before things get nasty.

With Jeff Jarrett gone and TNA now seemingly cashing in on the huge amount of free publicity Hogan will bring, it's only a matter of time before old wounds open and we see a new version of WCW unfold before us.

Here's hoping this is a short-term deal for TNA and one that benefits them financially and publicity-wise.

Hogan is most probably working to his own agenda anyway, like when he almost signed with TNA in 2003 and set up a feud with Jarrett, only to return to the WWE when the money was right.

If played right by all, this high-profile deal could benefit both parties hugely.

However, Carter and Co need to remember that while we all love a nostalgia trip, it's the homegrown stars and established TNA acts we tune in for each week.

Now back to the news:

Hogan has a BIG beef with Vince, always has always will... but he's worked with him and will do again because thats where the big bucks are. Their history is epic, remember Hogan testified against Hogan in '94 (i think it was) in the whole steroid case.... and then Bollea took Vince's biggest creation Hulk Hogan, which he didn't own, to his rival who almost put him out of business.

So this 'dissing' has and will go on forever....

Here's a little treat and it's a MUST see!

To answer the only actual intelligent query about TNA getting Hogan, (thanks Pocket), I really really hope that Hogan's mission in TNA is to push the young guys who are finally getting the push that they deserve (Thanks to Russo, Cornette kept wanting to push the 'big names').

Imagine how awesome it would be if Hogan was to feud with Eric Young for the Legends belt and lose?
That is if Hogan does get in the ring for TNA - I read it isn't decided yet, and Hogan is using his Hulkamania Tour as a test for his body to see if it can cope.

Logging on and Being on the site are two different things Pocket. I don't need to log in to read articles. I've spoken to Mark in the past, post that have no wrestling related topic get deleted, when I see them I delete the ones that breach that agreement. I can't get everyone obviously, but I try to get them. Bashing is fine, to a certain extent. I've done bashing, everyone has at one point in their life. Whether it's verbal or online. Mod's can't make trolls, Mark can. Mod's delete post, I delete double post stuff when I see them i.e. news post & comments. I also try and take down blogs that aren't wrestling related stuff, Obviously I will delete some of the post in this article. You made a valid point, about mods taking care of this stuff, and you probably know(judging by your statement) we can't delete until we see it.

Personally I like to challenge some of the trolls or future trolls....some of the past trolls I got along with but fought with at times. I like arguments, but I have decency not to push to hard on a subject, well at times lol. I can see the line and can make a point either way. I try to look at it at from a fans prospective as well as someone who works in the business/wants to break big into it...wrestling,filming, pretty much every aspect but those two mostly. Anyway, I like a challenge but there is a line and lines about personal things should rarely be crossed. I'm guilty over it I know who I've said things to and what I've said, I don't apologize because they traded barbs back and it was fun. I get along with pretty much everyone I put down, but there are still some I can assume hate me.

Lol looking back on what I wrote, I come off kinda wishy washy but I will say I have limits and being a mod I have to go beyond what I except and go by a little stricter set of rules.

Oh my god, I feel like I brought you out of the retirement home lol... I get your point dude, but where the fu## have you been? when I joined back in Feb last year you were around and posted, even blogged! I'm not having a cheap pop here Hill but for me and others like Monkie share this opinion too, but I feel that the mods on the site should be a hell of a lot more interactive... Flaming appears here and there and his opinions are always fun but it does at times feel like he's the only mod around!?!!

If I were a mod I'd still be posting everyday!
