Windsor, ON – IMPACT Wrestling presents the official proclamation ceremony and press conference on Thursday, July 13, at 12:30 pm, at Craft Heads Brewing Co., in beautiful Downtown Windsor to kick off Slammiversary Weekend, which features two live pro wrestling shows at the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor on Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16.
“I’m excited to get back into the ring for a pay-per-view match, my first in 17 years – and there’s no better place to do it than in my hometown, Windsor,” said Scott D’Amore. “I have 31 years of pro wrestling experience and, sure, I have worked extensively in the front-office of late, but don’t think for one moment that I have forgotten what I can do in the ring – and I plan to show Bully Ray and Deaner that on Saturday night.”
D’Amore will wrestle in a tag team match against Bully Ray and Deaner. The health of D’Amore’s tag team partner, PCO, is in question after a heinous attack by Bully Ray and Steve Maclin.
Darren McCarty, a 4-time Stanley Cup champion for the Detroit Red Wings, will be the Special Enforcer Saturday night for the Special Grudge Match with D’Amore. McCarty will wrestle Sunday in a tag team match.
Slammiversary is one of IMPACT Wrestling’s premiere events of the year, airing live around the world on pay-per-view, starting at 8 p.m. ET. Slammiversary kicks off with the Countdown to Slammiversary show, streaming LIVE & FREE at 7:30 p.m. ET on YouTube, IMPACT Plus (live player) and FITE. It’s the last stop on the road to Slammiversary. Just 48 hours away from our summer pay-per-view extravaganza, don’t miss an all-new IMPACT! this Thursday at 8/7c on AXS TV and 8:30pm ET on YouTube for IMPACT Insiders.
As Deonna Purrazzo prepares to defend her Knockouts World Title against Trinity in a Slammiversary dream match, “The Virtuosa” will look to make a statement when she holds a Knockouts World Title Open Challange just two days prior on IMPACT. Tensions between champion and challenger began to escalate when Purrazzo hesitated to come to Trinity’s aid during a recent attack from Gisele Shaw and Savannah Evans. Who will answer the call for a shot at the most coveted prize in women’s wrestling? And will Purrazzo make it to Slammiversary as the Knockouts World Champion?
Before the stacked 4-way clash for the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles at Slammiversary, momentum is up for grabs on IMPACT. Two of those teams will face off in traditional tag team competition as Moose and Brian Myers take on Rich Swann and Sami Callihan. Luck has not been on the side of Moose and Myers as of late, and they’re out to prove that they’re a force to be reckoned with in the tag team division.
Speaking of the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles, one half of the reigning champions, Chris Bey, will take on Zachary Wentz this Thursday. After Wentz made his shocking IMPACT return and reunited with his fellow Rascal, Trey Miguel, it didn’t take long for the duo to find themselves in a verbal altercation with ABC. This Thursday, will Wentz prove that the Rascalz deserve to be in the conversation for a shot at the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles? Or will Bey continue ABC’s recent hot streak with another victory?
With the high-risk, high-wire, high-stakes spectacle known as Ultimate X quickly approaching at Slammiversary, Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight must first focus on each other in an Ultimate X Preview match. Whoever leaves IMPACT! with the W will gain an important momentum boost heading into the big event. Meanwhile, you can expect the other competitors in Ultimate X to be watching closely as Jonathan Gresham, Angels and KUSHIDA scout their competition.
Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry has brought backup in the form of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Yuya Uemura for a tag team showdown with Kenny King and Sheldon Jean this Thursday. King is out for revenge after Hendry embarrassed him with the debut of a new music video entitled “Stripper Kenny”. Both Hendry and King will look to send a message to one another as they prepare for their Digital Media Title bout two days later on Countdown to Slammiversary.
The action begins Before the IMPACT, streaming this Thursday at 7:15pm ET exclusively on YouTube, IMPACT Plus (live player) and Facebook. Last week, Heath gave Dirty Dango a Wake-Up Call following a distraction from the Director of Authority, Santino Marella. Before Dango faces off against Marella this Sunday at Slammiversary Fallout, he will battle Heath in a match you won’t see anywhere else. Plus, Gia Miller, Josh Mathews and George Iceman get you ready for all things IMPACT.

Just one night after laying down the law as the Special Enforcer in the Slammiversary grudge match involving Bully Ray, Deaner, Scott D’Amore and a mystery partner, Darren McCarty will compete in his own bout on July 16th at Slammiversary Fallout. In a digital exclusive clip, Champagne Singh revealed that he is now in possession of McCarty’s 4 Stanley Cup Championship Rings and challenged the NHL legend to find a partner for a tag team showdown. After Slammiversary, the battle is far from over. THIS SUNDAY, July 16th, the television trucks of IMPACT! on AXS TV come to the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor for Slammiversary Fallout, featuring all your favorite IMPACT stars in action. Tickets are on-sale now at Eventbrite.ca.

Recently on IMPACT!, Gisele Shaw looked to get back in the win column when she battled Courtney Rush in singles competition. In typical SHAWntourage fashion, Savannah Evans and Jai Vidal were constantly involved in the matchup and eventually, the numbers game was just too much to overcome for Rush and her ally, Jessicka. In a digital exclusive clip, Jody Threat stood up to the locker room bullies as she united with the Death Dollz. This Saturday on Countdown to Slammiversary, Threat will join forces with Rush and Jessicka to battle Shaw, Evans and Vidal in a 6-person tag team contest.
The action begins on Countdown to Slammiversary streaming LIVE & FREE THIS SATURDAY at 7:30pm ET on YouTube, IMPACT Plus (live player) and FITE. Catch up on everything you need to know heading into the big event and witness exclusive matchups you won’t see anywhere else!

Deaner, one of the most vindictive, deceitful and driven wrestlers in the business, was confirmed by Bully Ray as his new tag team partner for the high-profile Slammiversary tag team match, it was first announced live on Busted Open, which airs on SiriusXM Fight Nation, channel 156.
Deaner replaces former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Steve Maclin, who was scheduled to team with Bully Ray, but is unable to participate at Slammiversary on Saturday, July 15, at the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Maclin suffered a serious injury during IMPACT’s Down Under Tour in Australia.
In addition, IMPACT Wrestling executives have not commented on the status of PCO, who endured a heinous, fiery assault by Bully Ray and Maclin on the weekly flagship TV show, Impact!
Scott D’Amore was unavailable for comment.
However, D’Amore is scheduled as a special guest on IMPACT’s Press Pass Podcast on Tuesday, July 11, to address the media about everything Slammiversary-related. Tom Hannifan is the host of Press Pass, which starts at 1pm ET and airs live on IMPACT’s Facebook page.
Deaner surprised the Busted Open Nation with his very personal appeal to Bully Ray to tag at Slammiversary. Deaner went into great detail on the live show, sharing never-before-told stories about D’Amore – and Deaner’s pure hatred for D’Amore. “Scott D’Amore is an over-rated POS in the ring – and I can prove it and it would make me so, so, so happy to do it in his hometown, in front of his friends and family,” Deaner said. “I’m going to kick the shit out of (D’Amore) at Slammiversary.”
Former NHL star Darren McCarty, a 4-time Stanley Cup winner for the Detroit Red Wings, will be the Special Enforcer for this Special Grudge Match.

IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion DEONNA PURRAZZO and her Slammiversary opponent, TRINITY, will be the special guests on the Press Pass Podcast on Tuesday, July 11, at 1pm EST. Plus, SCOTT D’AMORE will be a guest on Press Pass, too.
Tom Hannifan will host the media teleconference that will air live on IMPACT’s Facebook page.
Who will leave Slammiversary as the queen of the Knockouts Division? Who will be involved in the Special Grudge Match that D’Amore will compete in alongside PCO after Steve Maclin was removed from the match due to a serious injury suffered in Australia during the Down Under Tour? Maclin’s replacement will be announced Monday morning (July 10) by Bully Ray on Busted Open, airing live on SiriusXM Fight Nation, channel 156.
So many questions leading into Slammiversary, which is shaping up to be one of the best shows of the year.

Former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Steve Maclin is unable to participate in the high-profile Slammiversary tag team match on Saturday, July 15, at the St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Maclin suffered a serious injury during IMPACT’s just-completed Down Under Tour in Australia and is unable to participate at Slammiversary, IMPACT Wrestling confirmed.
Maclin was scheduled to team with Bully Ray in a Special Grudge Match against PCO and Scott D’Amore. The match will continue as scheduled and Bully Ray’s new tag team partner will be announced live on Busted Open this Monday, July 10, airing on SiriusXM Fight Nation, channel 156. Busted Open airs from 9 a.m. to 12noon ET with host Dave Lagreca, plus a crew of rotating co-hosts, including Bully Ray, Tommy Dreamer, Mickie James and others.
“First and foremost, everyone at IMPACT Wrestling wishes Steve Maclin a full and speedy recovery,” said Santino Marella, IMPACT Director of Authority. “Whoever Bully Ray brings aboard as his new tag team partner will step into a violent fight, that’s for sure. PCO is fearless and nearly unstoppable; Scott D’Amore is bent on revenge against Bully Ray, so any new partner for Bully Ray also will feel the wrath of D’Amore and his 30 years of pro wrestling knowledge.”
Former NHL star Darren McCarty, a 4-time Stanley Cup winner for the Detroit Red Wings, will be the Special Enforcer for this Special Grudge Match.
