Best known as Reno Scum, Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend together make up one of the newest Tag Teams on the IMPACT Roster. Both men, no strangers to the sport of professional wrestling, have been in the industry for several years working on the independent circuit. Although primarily seen working on the west coast, Reno Scum have made a name for themselves in Global Force Wrestling and Ring of Honor. In 2015, Reno Scum debuted at GFW during the first ever Tag Team Championship tournament where they were just one win away from becoming champions. In 2016, Reno Scum made their way to Ring of Honor debuting in a televised match against former ROH Tag Team Champions, The Briscoe Brothers.
It’s no secret that Reno Scum have what it takes to be successful. Especially in IMPACT Wrestling. Coming in as new, fresh faces to the IMPACT Roster, Thornstowe & Luster the Legend are hungry for accomplishment. “We want to make Adam Thornstowe, Luster the Legend, and Reno Scum household names. You’ll start to hear those Oi! Oi! Oi! chants very soon. They catch on and are contagious! Once that happens the obvious plan is to finally be WORLD Tag Team Champions. We’ve been regional tag team champs all over, but it’s time to make Reno Scum worldwide and personified,” said Thornstowe.
With Reno Scum, what you see is what you get. Thornstowe and Luster the Legend pride themselves on being the same guys behind the scenes and in front of the cameras. “Even when we’re not on television, we’re still Reno Scum. We wake up with the volume on 10. It’s not a gimmick, punk rock is our lifestyle. You can still catch us in the pits, chanting Oi! with our favorite bands. It’s not smoke and mirrors with us. We are comfortable in our own skin and we’ve been a “Tag Team” long before professional wrestling. Back in the day we would sneak into bar shows and have each other’s backs when times got rough. The punks in Reno always said “Reno Scum is like a gang but there’s only two of them,” Thornstowe recently told IMPACT management.
With years of experience under their belts, Reno Scum are ready to take on whatever it takes to win the prize. But not only are their sights set on the Tag Team Titles, The Reno Scum are ready to get their hands on several members of the IMPACT Roster. On Thursday, Reno Scum is set to debut against the DCC in the IMPACT Zone. Thornstowe and Luster don’t seem to be too concerned. Talking with them recently, they had this to say. “Don’t take us lightly. We’ve watched tape. We’re coming to make an ‘impact’ in our debut. That Oi! Oi! Oi! is gonna spread like wildfire this Thursday night. In our debut, the DCC is going to be “Silenced by the Violence”, a phrase we adopted from one of our favorite bands The Old Firm Casuals.”
For the those of you who don’t know, “Oi!” is a way of communication for Reno Scum. Simply put, Oi! is an aggressive way of saying “hey!” and catching one’s attention. When it comes down to it, Reno Scum take pride in their unique personas. When asking Luster the Legend what makes Reno Scum different from the rest, he said, “we are the perfect combination of athleticism and violence. You just wait! We will destroy every obstacle that gets in our way!”
Reno Scum will take on the DCC this Thursday night at 8/7c. Tune in to watch them in action.
