IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).
by IMPACT Wrestling Staff
Check out this week’s loaded lineup from the Melrose Ballroom in New York City.
As Ace Austin‘s X-Division Title defense against Trey at Hard To Kill continues to draw near, he must first step into the ring for singles action against X-Division veteran and former champion Petey Williams on the next episode of IMPACT!. Ace should not take Williams lightly because if he gets caught with a Canadian Destroyer, Ace could be looking at two challengers for the X-Division Title in the near future.
Last week on IMPACT!, TJP made his return as he came to the aid of his friend Fallah Bahh, assisting him in thwarting a post-match attack from the Desi Hit Squad. TJP is eager to return to in-ring action and that’s exactly what he’ll do this week on IMPACT! when he faces Daga. Whoever wins this match will likely move up the rankings in the already stacked X-Division.
On the next episode of IMPACT!, Jordynne Grace looks to tune up for her Knockouts Championship opportunity against reigning Champion Taya Valkyrie and ODB at Hard To Kill. However, this will be no easy task as she steps into the ring with Tenille Dashwood who took Taya to her absolute limit at Bound for Glory. If Tenille is able to defeat Jordynne, how will that effect the Knockouts Title picture going into Hard To Kill on January 12th?
After Joey Ryan was summoned to Wrestler’s Court last week, his sentence will come in the form of a singles match against IMPACT Wrestling newcomer Acey Romero this Tuesday on IMPACT!. Romero came up just short against Moose in his IMPACT! debut but will be determined to turn things around when he goes one-on-one with Joey. There’s one question on the minds of wrestling fans around the world – will Joey make Acey Romero touch it?
Rich Swann and Willie Mack are the new number one contenders to The North‘s Tag Team Championships. They earned this opportunity after yet another incredible performance from Swann when he single handedly won a Tag Team Open after Mack was forced out of the match due to injury. Now, both teams will send a member out for singles action this Tuesday on IMPACT! as Rich Swann battles Ethan Page. Who will gain momentum on the road to Hard To Kill?
by IMPACT Wrestling Staff
On last Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT, two new matches were announced for Hard To Kill, January 12th on pay-per-view.
After inserting himself into Eddie’s singles match with Brian Cage recently on IMPACT, Michael Elgin now has the opportunity to face Eddie Edwards at Hard To Kill. But to Elgin, this match is about more than just bragging rights – it’s about Eddie’s Call Your Shot Trophy. Elgin wants to get back in the hunt for the World Championship and Eddie’s Call Your Shot Trophy awards a title shot of the holder’s choosing. In a backstage interview with Gabby Loren, Elgin laid out the challenge for Eddie to put his Call Your Shot Trophy on the line in their bout at Hard To Kill. Will Eddie accept?
Last Tuesday on IMPACT, Rich Swann overcame the odds once again. In a Tag Team Open featuring Rich Swann and Willie Mack, oVe, the Rascalz and Reno Scum to crown new number one contenders for The North‘s Tag Team Championships at Hard To Kill, Willie Mack suffered an injury on some high risk offense. Willie was not cleared to compete in the remainder of the match by Dr Ariel, leaving Swann to fend for himself. In a miraculous performance, Swann not only finished the match on his own but pulled out the victory at a huge numbers disadvantage. Now, Swann and Mack will challenge The North for the Tag Team Championships, January 12th on pay-per-view.

Old School Rules means there are no disqualifications, no countouts and Tommy Dreamer is special referee to ensure there’s a winner. The brawl spills to the outside in the early going. Rhino swings and misses with a clothesline, causing him to wrap his arm around the steel ring post. Rhino puts a choke in with a mop handle. Rhino powerslams RVD onto a steel chair. Now it’s RVD’s turn to use the chair as he sends it into the crotch of Rhino. RVD teases going for Rolling Thunder but isn’t going to give the fans what they want to see. Rhino powerbombs RVD onto a steel chair for a two count. RVD misses a split-legged Moonsault, allowing Rhino to capitalize with a Gore through the table. Rhino is about to score the win when Katie Forbes pulls Dreamer out of the ring. RVD hits the Five Star Frog Splash to win.
After the match, RVD suckers Dreamer in with a handshake but then takes him out with a kick.
Acey hurls Moose across the ring. Acey dives through the ropes, crashing into Moose on the floor. During the commercial break, Moose reverses an Irish Whip, sending Acey face-first into the steel ring post to gain the advantage. Acey runs through Moose with a big running crossbody. Moose hits a thunderous Go To Hell but Acey kicks out at two. Acey hits one of the biggest pounces of all time to build momentum. Moose connects with the No Jackhammer Needed Spear to win.
Father James Mitchell ensures Susie that he is the only one she can trust. Susie is drawn to the noose that Havok used to hang her but James diverts her attention away.
Backstage, Gabby Loren interviews Michael Elgin. He says IMPACT management if putting roadblocks in front of him to prevent him from becoming World Champion. Elgin challenges Eddie Edwards to a match for the Call Your Shot Trophy at Hard To Kill.
Fallah charges at Raj and Rohit in the ring to jumpstart the match. Fallah takes control with a belly-to-belly suplex. Raj counters a Samoan Drop attempt with a spinning elbow. Raj gets the big man up for a back suplex but Fallah kicks out at two. Fallah hits a crossbody for another near fall. Gama distracts the referee, allowing Rohit to attack Fallah from behind. It doesn’t phase Fallah as he’s still ablet to hit Raj with the Banzai Drop to win.
After the match, Raj and Rohit double team Fallah until TJP makes the save. TJP clears the ring, sending the Desi Hit Squad retreating up the ramp.
Joey Ryan is summoned to Wrestlers’ Court by Johnny Swinger over his gimmick. Dreamer sentences Joey to a match against Acey Romero next week.
The winners of this match will challenge The North for the Tag Team Championships at Hard To Kill. Tags are not necessary and everyone is legal in this chaotic bout. Willie hits a corkscrew press over the top into Reno Scum on the floor. Swann calls for Willie but it appears Willie injured his knee on that high-risk move. Dr Ariel comes out and says Willie is unable to continue competing in the match. Swann fights for his life and he hits Reno Scum with a double cutter. Dave spikes Swann into a Tombstone Piledriver from Jake but Wentz breaks up the pin attempt. Luster launches Swann into Dave who’s stuck in the Tree of Woe in the corner. Dez flips Wentz onto Luster but it’s not enough as Jake breaks the follow up pin attempt. Swann counters a cutter attempt from oVe and rolls up Dave to win the match by himself.
After the match, The North are seen looking on from high above the ring. Josh Alexander wants to blindside Swann while he’s vulnerable but Ethan Page persuades him to do things his way instead.
Jimmy Jacobs conducts a sit-down interview with former World Champion Brian Cage. Jimmy asks Cage what’s next for him after being eliminated from the current World Title picture. Cage says there is a plethora of talent he’s never competed against. RVD and Katie Forbes interrupt and start getting physical on the couch next to Cage and Jimmy. Cage forces them to leave and RVD makes fun of him for losing to Tessa Blanchard in the Elimination Challenge.
Sami Callihan handpicked Fulton to go one-on-one with Tessa here tonight. Fulton rag dolls Tessa in the corner. Tessa builds momentum with an incredible show of strength as she sunset flips Fulton. Tessa dropkicks Fulton the outside and hits him with a dive, followed by a tilt-a-whirl DDT. Tessa goes for Magnum but Jake Crist pushes her off the top, causing the disqualification.
Dave Crist joins him and Fulton in a 3-on-1 beatdown until Ken Shamrock makes the save. Tessa picked Shamrock as Sami Callihan’s opponent and that match is about to get underway.
Callihan spits in the face of Shamrock, prompting Shamrock to clobber him with a kick. They brawl around the ringside area as Callihan sends Shamrock into the steel guardrail. Shamrock kicks out at two after a Death Valley Driver from Callihan. Shamrock charges into into the corner but Callihan uses the referee as a shield, causing him to get hit instead. Callihan attempts to use the World Title as a weapon but Shamrock ducks and locks in the ankle lock. Callihan taps but there is no referee. Fulton attacks Shamrock from behind and lays him out with a swinging slam. Callihan locks in an ankle lock of his own and Shamrock is knocked unconscious. The referee recovers and calls for the bell.
After the match, Fulton is incensed and violently attacks Shamrock. Fulton stands tall after he tosses a lifeless Shamrock over the top rope to the floor.

What a night it was this past Saturday at No Surrender on IMPACT+. Now, let’s take a look at some of the best shots from ringside.
After a hard-fought battle with Michael Elgin, Larry D had no idea that was about to have a career-making moment. To the shock of many, including Elgin himself, Larry took Elgin to his absolute limit at No Surrender. Larry proved to Scott D’amore that he has what it takes to stand toe-to-toe with the top talent in IMPACT Wrestling. Scott was so impressed with his performance that he even offered Larry an IMPACT Wrestling contract in the middle of the ring. As you can see from the photo, this will be a night that Larry D will never forget.
Where can you see this many athletic giants competing in the ring at the same time? Only in a Hoss Fight Scramble. At No Surrender, Acey Romero, Brian Cage, Madman Fulton, Willie Mack and Crash Jaxon competed in this unique contest. Taking a look at the photo, Fulton had just sent Cage and Jaxon for a ride. In a few moments, a loud thud would be heard throughout the arena as a huge amount of weight came crashing to the mat. Romero was able to hold on but Fulton hadn’t forgotten about him…
The Rascalz have absolutely no limits. In this shot, we see Wentz completely upside down as Dez sends him soaring through the air. In a heartbeat, Wentz will come crashing down onto the chest of Mahabali Shera. This breathtaking moment took place in a three-way tag team match featuring three of IMPACT Wrestling’s top tag teams in the Rascalz, the Desi Hit Squad and oVe. Would Shera be able to regain momentum or was this the final blow?
Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin renewed their personal rivalry when they met in a Tables Match last Saturday at No Surrender. Ace’s X-Division Title wasn’t on the line but it didn’t matter to Eddie. After months of Ace trying to sleep with Alisha, this match was all about sweet, sweet revenge. Eddie is always coming up with innovative ways to use weapons and that’s exactly what we see here. Instead of sending Ace crashing through the table, Eddie wanted to punish him. In a gruesome moment, Eddie impaled Ace back-first onto the legs of the table.
In the No Surrender main event, Sami Callihan put his IMPACT World Championship on the line against Rich Swann. The majority of the crowd was actually cheering in favor of Callihan which is something we’re not used to hearing. As Josh Mathews and Scott D’amore noted on commentary, they were in Bizzaroland because No Surrender was taking place in oVe’s hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Swann posed a very real threat to Callihan’s title reign, prompting Callihan to dish out some devastating offense as seen here.

It was a jam-packed weekend in IMPACT Wrestling as the stars hit the road for two huge events. On Saturday, No Surrender on IMPACT+ took over Dayton, Ohio which was headlined by Sami Callihan retaining his World Championship in a competitive bout against Rich Swann. On Sunday, Motown Showdown on Twitch rolled into Belleville, Michigan which also saw Callihan hold onto the gold in a match against Rhino. With those two title defenses behind him, the main event of Hard To Kill, January 12th on pay-per-view is now set. It will be Sami Callihan defending the IMPACT World Championship against Tessa Blanchard.
However, there is still a lot of business to be taken care of before we get to Dallas for Hard To Kill and it starts this Tuesday on IMPACT. Tune in at 8/7c on AXS TV and Twitch to watch it unfold.
Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard have chosen each other’s opponents for singles bouts in a pick your poison scenario.
Callihan’s intentions became crystal clear when he picked Madman Fulton to go one-on-one with Tessa Blanchard this Tuesday at 8/7c on AXS TV. He wants Fulton to wear down or completely eliminate the number one contender, making his night at Hard To Kill a whole lot easier. Fulton is by far the most physically dominant member of oVe and there’s no telling what carnage he will unleash on Tessa tonight. Of course, Tessa is no stranger to overcoming the odds. Don’t count her out as she could very well shock the world once again by defeating Fulton in the middle of the ring.
On the flip side, Tessa has gone off the board with her selection and picked the World’s Most Dangerous Man and MMA legend Ken Shamrock as Callihan’s opponent tonight in New York City. It’s safe to say that nobody saw this one coming, especially Sami Callihan. Now, Callihan must prepare for an opponent he has never faced before. Don’t forget that Shamrock took Moose to his limits at Bound for Glory just a couple of months ago and will likely be as focused as ever when he steps into the ring with the World Champion. This match also presents a threat to Callihan’s World Title reign because if Shamrock defeats him, that may earn Shamrock a future shot at the title.
RVD is back and Rhino is furious. RVD took an extended vacation not long after he betrayed Rhino in their Tag Team Championship match at Bound for Glory. Alongside Katie Forbes, RVD promised a quick return – only to delay week after week. Last week on IMPACT, RVD finally stepped back into an IMPACT ring when the action emanated from New York City. However, it wasn’t for a match. Instead, he gave us a peak into his mind and explained how other professional wrestlers have stolen his moves in an attempt to be him. At that point, Rhino had heard enough and charged the ring for an attack. It was broken up by security but that won’t be the case tonight when RVD and Rhino meet in an Old School Rules Match with Tommy Dreamer as special referee.
Tonight on IMPACT, we find out who will challenge The North for the Tag Team Championships at Hard To Kill. In one corner, you have Rich Swann and Willie Mack. Swann was close to becoming World Champion on multiple occasions at No Surrender. Although he ultimately came up short, he proved himself as one of the top athletes in IMPACT Wrestling today. In another corner, you have Jake and Dave Crist of oVe. Having held the tag team titles before, they know what it takes to be at the top of the tag team division. Then, there’s Dez and Wentz of the Rascalz. Their unique style of offense has brought them close to becoming champions in the past. Lastly, we have Reno Scum who are looking to build momentum in IMPACT’s competitive tag division. The combatants are four highly-skilled teams, all with a legitimate shot at dethroning the reigning champs.
After an impressive debut in the X-Division Title Ladder Match at Bound for Glory, Acey Romero returns tonight on IMPACT. However, he has a tough task in front of him as he steps into the ring with the dominant Moose. There are certain matches where you should brace for impact and without a doubt, this is one of them. The action will be thunderous when these two giants meet in New York City. With all the bragging Moose has done lately about being the greatest multi-sport athlete of all time, a victory would surely put an exclamation mark on those statements. Romero will be looking to play spoiler and make a huge name for himself by picking up the win.

Cap off your weekend with Motown Showdown on IMPACT Wrestling’s Twitch channel. IMPACT joins forces with BCW in Belleville, Michigan for a night of nonstop action.
Sami Callihan may have been able to defeat Rich Swann with his World Title on the line at No Surrender, but his work is far from over. At Motown Showdown, Callihan will defend the IMPACT World Championship against the rampaging Rhino. The Diamondback Saloon in Belleville may not be able to contain these two with the World Title on the line.
For months, Taya Valkyrie has been trying to persuade Rosemary to be her friend. If they can score this tag team victory at Motown Showdown, her dream may become a reality. We can only imagine why Taya wants to be friends with Rosemary. Perhaps to ensure her record-breaking Knockouts Title reign continues long into the future. Don’t miss it as the Knockouts take center stage at Motown Showdown when Taya and Rosemary battle Havok and Madison Rayne.
Who could forget the incredible match Brian Cage and Michael Elgin had for the World Championship at last summer’s Slammiversary? Now, these two top contenders run it back this Sunday at Motown Showdown. Both men want nothing more than to be the absolute best but on this night, only one can leave Belleville with the win.
Amidst his rivalry with Trey, Ace Austin will have to put the X-Division Title on the line against another member of the Rascalz, Dez, this Sunday at Motown Showdown. If Dez is somehow able to pry the title away from the reigning champion, we could see two of the Rascalz collide for the X-Division Title at Hard To Kill. Let’s just hope Dez doesn’t bring his mom to the event because we know that Ace has trouble containing himself in those kinds of situations.
Sami Callihan is looking to give Madman Fulton a tune up at Motown Showdown when he goes one-on-one with Eddie Edwards. This comes ahead of Fulton’s big singles bout with Tessa Blanchard this Tuesday on IMPACT. You would be hard-pressed to get two crazier individuals into a ring at the same time so keep your eyes peeled.
Rich Swann may not be the World Champion after falling short in his match against Sami Callihan at No Surrender but you can bet he’ll regain focus when he joins Willie Mack to take on Callihan’s oVe goons in Dave and Jake Crist at Motown Showdown.
There is no shortage of teams jockeying for position in IMPACT’s tag team division. Two of those teams go head-to-head at Motown Showdown when Mahabali Shera and Rohit Raju of the Desi Hit Squad battle Trey and Wentz of the Rascalz.

John E Bravo pulls Taya to safety. Havok goes after Bravo but Taya clobbers Havok in the back with a steel chair, causing the disqualification. Havok takes out Taya with a vicious Chokeslam. Havok wins the match but Taya escapes with her Knockouts Championship.
Havok def Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie w/ John E Bravo by Disqualification – Knockouts Championship Match
The only way to win this match is to put your opponent through a table. Eddie charges towards the ring and takes control right off the bat. The fight spills to the outside as Eddie sends Ace crotch first into the steel guardrail. Ace jumps off the apron but Eddie cuts him off by launching a table into his body. Ace turns it around with a steel chair shot. Ace targets Eddie’s previously injured eye with his magic stick. Ace attempts to Irish whip Eddie through a table but Eddie counters and sends Ace into the turnbuckle. Eddie impales Ace on the legs of a table. Callihan spits in the face of Swann but that prompts him to counter with a superkick. Swann hits a big clothesline to start building momentum. Swann connects with a roundhouse kick for a two count. Callihan catches Swann in mid-air and drives him into the mat with a Death Valley Driver. Swann hits a standing Moonsault for another near fall. Callihan avoids a top rope Moonsault, allowing him to hit a sitdown powerbomb but Swann kicks out. Callihan almost breaks the neck of Swann with a piledriver on the apron but somehow, Swann still kicks out. Callihan hits another piledriver, this time off the top, to win the match and retain the World Championship.

December 5, 2019 by IMPACT Wrestling Staff
As Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard prepare to face each other in a historic World Championship main event at Hard To Kill, they will have the opportunity to pick each other’s opponents next Tuesday on IMPACT.
Reigning World Champion Sami Callihan has chosen his loyal oVe follower Madman Fulton to battle Tessa in one-on-one action. Surely, this is Sami’s attempt at wearing down or potentially eliminating Tessa all together ahead of Hard To Kill. Tessa is never one to back down from a fight but she must approach the Madman cautiously if she wants to escape the Melrose Ballroom.
Tessa went off the board with her pick and has chosen UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock to collide with Callihan on IMPACT. Surely, this is coming as a huge shocker to Callihan, as it was to the rest of us. Shamrock took Moose to the limit at Bound for Glory, there’s no telling what he will do when he gets a one-on-one match with the World Champion.
Tessa Blanchard and Sami Callihan have picked each other’s poison for next Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT on AXS TV. Tune at 8/7c to see how it all plays out.
