Shelley, Sabin & Alexander Challenge Okada, Tanahashi & Ishii at Destruction in Ryogoku
As revealed earlier today by New Japan Pro-Wrestling, IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin and Josh Alexander will team up to challenge Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii for the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Championships at Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9th. Both teams have crossed paths over the years, most recently when Shelley successfully retained the IMPACT World Title over Tanahashi at Multiverse United 2: For Whom the Bell Tolls. This bout will also mark Alexander’s first-ever match in Japan and a chance to make history with the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Titles on the line.
